Heading for Change is a donor-advised fund launched with a US $1Million endowment by WISF founder Suzanne Biegel and her husband, Daniel Maskit, to make catalytic investments and grants that accelerate climate solutions and advance the status of women and girls.
This multi-asset class portfolio will demonstrate how to invest at the nexus of gender and climate, providing a model of a blended return mix of investment funds that together powerfully advance this dual mission.
At WISF, we are proud to contribute to this Endowment Fund.

WHO
A pioneer and recognized thought leader in the gender-smart investing field, Suzanne Biegel has dedicated her life and career to making finance more inclusive, impactful, and effective. Both climate and gender have been at the heart of her portfolio since she began investing 22 years ago. Facing terminal illness, Suzanne, together with her husband, Daniel, endowed Heading for Change to carry forward her work of using investment as a tool to further a more sustainable planet and more equitable world.
WHY
Whether you participate with a donation of $100 or $1MM, all Donor-Partners become part of an inclusive community with a shared learning journey. You will interact with fellow Donor-Partners, our roster of expert advisors, and the fund managers of our investments, and follow the progress of the entrepreneurial entities the funds invest in. Quarterly newsletters, educational seminars, annual impact reports, and virtual meet-ups to celebrate our work together are all planned. Our commitment to openly sharing our investment and grant criteria enables you to leverage our research and analysis in your own investments and amplify our impact together. Make a difference in the world and honour the legacy of Suzanne Biegel by becoming a Donor-Partner.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
Suzanne has always been a people connector and community builder, and this legacy project carries that forward. She has set up a structure where individuals and institutions who share her commitment to tackling both the climate crisis and gender inequity can become Donor-Partners in Heading for Change.
Your tax-deductible contributions will grow the endowment to expand our impact, deliver an even greater effect with our portfolio choices, meet investment minimums, and educate and inspire more people to apply their financial resources in meaningful ways.
